hgt2xyz - ver. 1.05

Command line tool to convert SRTM-3 .hgt files to ASCII x,y,z.
In February 2000, the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) was undertaken, to generate a near-global digital elevation model (DEM) of the Earth. The results are freely available as SRTM-3 .hgt files from ftp://edcsgs9.cr.usgs.gov/pub/data/srtm/

hgt2xyz converts SRTM-3 .hgt files to ASCII x,y,z (long,lat,height), so that these data can be used in GIS applications that do not read .hgt files natively.

Requires Microsoft's .NET framework in order to run. If the framework is not already installed on your PC, it is freely available from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/.
